Best for: sailing purists, romantic half-day charters, guests who value atmosphere and tradition over speed.

  • What's included: everything standard plus expanded drink options and interior comfort.

Best for: full-day luxury cruises, extended coastline exploration, and clients who prioritise comfort during long hours on the water.

Tigresa — From €2,000 (VIP private, up to 12 guests)

The ultimate flagship experience. Absolute luxury for VIP clients who want no compromises. Contact us for bespoke full-day or multi-day itineraries. Includes top-tier catering, exclusive drinks, and VIP transfers.

What Affects the Price

Duration is the primary cost driver. A 3–4-hour charter covers a coastal cruise with a swimming stop. A full-day charter (8–9 hours) is a complete ocean experience — morning departure, lunch on the water, afternoon swimming, return at sunset.

The vessel sets the base rate. The difference reflects size, equipment level, crew capacity, and the scope of included services.

Additional services are quoted separately and agreed before booking:

  • Food and exclusive wines: bespoke catering menus, fresh local seafood, high-end alcohol selections.
  • Decorations and flowers: custom arrangements for proposals, weddings, or anniversaries.
  • Cake delivery: freshly baked custom cakes for birthdays.
  • Professional media: coordination with top local photographers and videographers.

Because every event is unique, we do not use rigid packages for these extras. Everything additional is personalised and priced individually to your brief. Tell us what you want, and we will quote it exactly.

The Per-Person Maths — Why Private Charters Make Sense

Divide the total by the number of guests and a private charter often competes directly with premium shared tickets.

VesselCapacity3-hour pricePer person (full capacity)
Libby's Waterfrontup to 7€440~€62
Skylineup to 12€590~€49
Oh la laup to 12€820~€68
Tigresaup to 12€2,000+VIP / custom

At 7 guests on the Libby's Waterfront you pay €62 per person for a private vessel, a dedicated crew, and a flexible route. A group tour at €50–70 per person puts you on a shared boat with 15–20 strangers. The difference in price is €0–17 per person. The difference in experience is another category entirely.

What's Included in Every Price — No Exceptions

Every Tenerife Fishing Experts charter includes:

  • Vessel and professional crew: a licensed captain and attentive crew (the Skyline, for example, carries two crew).
  • Safety equipment: life jackets including children's sizes, first aid, VHF radio.
  • Drinks and alcohol: cava, wine, beer, water, and soft drinks — always included.
  • Snacks and food: from fresh fruit and basic tapas to premium snacks, depending on the yacht category.
  • Water toys: snorkelling equipment is standard; many yachts also carry paddleboards (SUP).
  • Fuel and port fees: included for the agreed itinerary.
  • Transfers (select yachts): premium VIP charters such as the Tigresa include dedicated hotel transfers.

Following post-COVID hygiene protocols we no longer provide shared towels — please bring your own. What is never charged extra: fuel surcharges, port fees, tips (appreciated but never solicited), equipment use, and swimming stops.

When the Price Is Good Value — and When It Isn't

A charter is good value when the vessel matches your group size and occasion; the crew delivers service that makes the day memorable; the equipment works; the route adapts to your preferences and the conditions; and you step ashore feeling the price was fair for what you received.

A charter is poor value when you overpay for a vessel too large for your group (two people on a 12-guest yacht); you underpay for a group tour and get a crowded, impersonal, worn-out experience that wastes your limited holiday time; or you book a "luxury" charter from an unknown operator and find the vessel doesn't match the photos.

Our approach: we recommend the vessel that fits your group — not the most expensive option. If an intimate, fast cruiser like the Libby's Waterfront is the right choice for your small group, we say so. If a VIP flagship like the Tigresa is unnecessary for your occasion, we say that too. Pricing transparency starts with honest recommendations.

FAQ

Is a private yacht charter expensive in Tenerife?

It depends on the vessel and group size. The Libby's Waterfront starts from €440 for 3 hours — roughly €62 per person for a group of 7. That's comparable to a premium shared ticket, but with entirely private service. At the other end, the Tigresa from €2,000 is a VIP product for premium expectations.

Are there hidden costs?

No. The price confirmed at booking includes the vessel, crew, fuel, port fees, drinks, snacks, and snorkelling gear. (Towels are not provided for hygiene reasons.) Additional services — custom catering, decorations — are quoted and agreed separately before the charter. Nothing is added unexpectedly on the water.

Do prices change by season?

We do not apply surge pricing. Rates are consistent year-round. Peak season (June–October) affects availability — popular vessels like the Tigresa book out faster — but not the price per charter.

Can I negotiate the price?

Our pricing reflects vessel quality, crew expertise, and the included services. For multi-day bookings or repeat clients, contact us directly to discuss arrangements.

How do the deposit and payment work?

A deposit secures the booking. Final payment is due on the day of the charter. Rescheduling due to weather is always free. Specific deposit amounts and cancellation terms are discussed at booking — no surprises.

How far in advance should I book?

1–2 weeks for standard dates. 3–4 weeks for peak-season weekends (June–October), especially for highly requested vessels like the Oh la la or Tigresa. Last-minute availability is sometimes possible on the Skyline or Libby's Waterfront, but booking ahead is always the safer choice.

Is it cheaper to book directly or through a platform?

Book directly with Tenerife Fishing Experts for the most accurate pricing, the full vessel selection, and direct communication with the team. Third-party platforms may add booking fees.
